L Devs BIM

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 27, 2026

The short version: L Devs BIM is one person (Logan Tyler Koster, based in Iowa, USA), not a company with a legal department. Use the tools reasonably, everything's provided as-is with no guarantees, and nothing here is scary — it's just the standard stuff every software company has to say.

Foundation (L Devs BIM account & website) Part 1 — Recall (browser extension)
Foundation

Applies to the L Devs BIM website, your L Devs BIM account, and every product built on this platform, present and future. · Last updated: July 27, 2026

Different L Devs BIM tools ask for very different things — a Revit add-in isn't going to work the same way as a browser extension or a mobile app. Each tool's specific terms are its own, not a blanket promise made here.

What follows in this Foundation section applies directly to L Devs BIM as a whole and the website itself. For anything specific to an individual product, see that product's own Part below.

1. Who operates this

L Devs BIM, and all of its tools including Recall, are operated by Logan Tyler Koster, an individual doing business as "L Devs BIM," based in Iowa, United States. There is no separate registered company at this time — you're agreeing to these Terms with an individual operator, not a corporation.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, installing a L Devs BIM extension, or otherwise using any L Devs BIM tool, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the tools.

3. Who can use this

You must be at least 13 years old to use L Devs BIM products or hold an account. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's awareness before making any purchase, since subscriptions involve real payment. If we ever learn someone under 13 has created an account, we'll remove it — see the Privacy Policy for details.

4. Accounts

Whether a product requires an account, makes one optional, or doesn't use accounts at all depends entirely on that product — check its own Part below for specifics. If you do create one, you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Having more than one account is fine for legitimate reasons — keeping work and personal use separate, for example. What's not okay is creating multiple accounts specifically to get around free-tier limits or payment, and we reserve the right to act on accounts that clearly exist for that purpose.

5. Payments

All payments across every L Devs BIM product are processed by Stripe; L Devs BIM never sees or stores your card details. Subscriptions, where offered, automatically renew at the then-current price at the end of each billing period until canceled. Some products may also offer a one-time purchase (like a lifetime license) instead of, or alongside, a subscription — those are charged once and don't recur. Business or bulk licensing may be offered for a given L Devs BIM product at our discretion — it isn't guaranteed for every product, and where it's offered, it's arranged directly. Those arrangements may include additional or different terms agreed to in writing, which take precedence over this document for that arrangement.

6. Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass the licensing/entitlement checks in any L Devs BIM product. Don't use the tools for anything illegal, or in a way that abuses shared infrastructure (excessive automated requests, attempts to disrupt the service for others, etc.). If your use of a L Devs BIM product ends up causing harm to someone else, or leads to a legal claim from a third party, that responsibility is yours, not mine — I build these tools in good faith, and I'd rather spend my time fixing bugs than defending against something you did.

In formal terms: you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless L Devs BIM and Logan Tyler Koster from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of a L Devs BIM product, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.

7. Intellectual property

The L Devs BIM software, branding, and interface designs are the property of L Devs BIM unless stated otherwise. Third-party libraries and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.

8. Experimental features

Some tools or features, in any L Devs BIM product, may be labeled experimental, beta, or early-access. These are provided "as is" without guarantees of stability or fitness for any particular purpose — test carefully before relying on them for anything important.

9. No warranty

L Devs BIM products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. That's the formal, legally-necessary version. In practice: if something's broken, I want to know about it. Email or send a support message and I'll do my best to get it fixed as soon as I can.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, L Devs BIM's total liability for any claim relating to these Terms or the use of any L Devs BIM product is limited to the amount you paid to L Devs BIM in the 12 months before the claim arose. L Devs BIM is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This limitation doesn't apply to damages caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. This isn't about dodging responsibility for real problems — it's the standard protection any software business needs, especially a one-person one.

11. Before anything formal

If a real problem comes up — a bug, a billing mistake, a disagreement about how something works — please email first. Almost everything is more easily solved by a conversation than a lawsuit, and I'd genuinely rather fix it than fight about it. If it ever did come to a formal dispute, you agree to at least try emailing ldevsbim@gmail.com and giving me a reasonable chance to resolve it first.

12. Dispute resolution — arbitration, no class actions

If the step above doesn't resolve things, any dispute will be settled through individual binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted virtually or in Iowa, rather than in court — except that either of us can still bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead. You agree to bring any claim only in your own individual capacity — not as part of a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against L Devs BIM. This exists so a dispute between us stays between us, rather than turning into something bigger than the actual problem warrants.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to an account at our discretion — most often for violating these Terms (abuse, non-payment, illegal use), but not limited to those. You can stop using the tools and delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how.

14. Service availability

This is one person building and running these tools, not a company with a succession plan — I intend to keep every L Devs BIM product running for as long as it makes sense to, but I can't promise any product, or the platform as a whole, stays available forever. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any L Devs BIM product, or the platform itself, at any time, for any reason, including circumstances outside our control. If a product with a Lifetime purchase is ever discontinued, we won't charge you again, but past purchases aren't refunded — "Lifetime" means for as long as that product exists and we're able to run it, not a guarantee the product itself is permanent.

If a product is discontinued outright — not merged into or replaced by a newer product — anyone who purchased Lifetime access to it can request the last working version of its source code, and we'll hand it over as-is: no support, no warranty, no guarantee it still works with current dependencies or services. It's yours to use and build on if you want to keep it going yourself; we're just done maintaining it. This isn't offered to free or subscription-only users — Lifetime purchasers specifically bought ongoing access, so this is how we make good on that if we're ever the ones to end it.

If you have an active subscription to a product we discontinue, we'll email you advance notice and stop billing you going forward. If you're on a monthly plan, you keep access through the rest of the period you've already paid for — no refund needed, since none of that time goes to waste. If you've prepaid for a longer period (like an annual plan) that runs past the notice window, we'll refund the unused portion — this is different from our general no-refunds policy on voluntary cancellations, because here it's us ending the service, not you choosing to stop, and you shouldn't have to pay for months of something we're no longer providing. If that product is being merged into, or replaced by, a newer L Devs BIM product rather than shut down outright, your subscription carries over automatically at no extra cost if the new product's price isn't higher than what you were already paying. If the price is higher, it's your choice — move to the new product at the new price, or let your access end with the old one, no obligation either way.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

16. General provisions

Assignment. We may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of a product or the platform; you may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent.

Severability. If any part of these Terms is ever found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about your use of L Devs BIM products — they replace any other promises or statements made elsewhere.

No waiver. If we don't enforce a provision of these Terms at some point, that doesn't mean we've given up the right to enforce it later.

17. Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change in a way that matters, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Part 1 Recall

Applies only to the Recall browser extension. · Last updated: July 27, 2026

Recall subscriptions & billing

Recall Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, and as a one-time Lifetime purchase, at the prices shown at checkout. Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled. Lifetime access is offered at our discretion and may be removed from sale, or brought back later, at any time — if you've already purchased Lifetime, your access continues regardless of whether it's currently being sold to new customers. (That's separate from Recall being discontinued entirely — see Foundation's "Service availability" section for that scenario.)

Recall cancellations & refunds

You can cancel a Recall Pro subscription at any time from Settings → Account → Manage Billing, which opens Stripe's billing portal — that's where the actual cancellation happens. Canceling stops future billing — you keep Pro access through the end of the period you already paid for, with no partial or prorated refund for unused time. There is no general money-back guarantee. (That's about you choosing to cancel — if Recall itself is ever discontinued instead, different terms apply — see Foundation's "Service availability" section.)

The one exception: if you're charged in error (a duplicate charge, a billing bug, something that's genuinely our mistake), email ldevsbim@gmail.com and it'll be corrected. Lifetime purchases are one-time and non-refundable once the purchase completes, except for the same billing-error exception.

Your Recall content stays yours

Recall's conversation data (titles, tags, buckets, phrases) lives in your browser — synced across your own devices through your browser's own sync if you're signed in, but never on L Devs BIM's servers — and it's yours. We don't claim any ownership over it. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what does and doesn't reach our servers.

Recall doesn't speak for the AI tools it organizes

Recall helps you keep track of conversations on the AI sites you use — the built-in list (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, Mistral) and, for Pro users, any additional site you choose to add yourself. Recall doesn't control, generate, or review content on any of those sites, built-in or custom, and we're not responsible for the accuracy, safety, or content of what happens there.
